Concerning the Vancouver transformer purchase contract of RMB 60 million, Baoding Tianwei Baobian Electric Co., Ltd and Canada-based British Columbia Transmission Corporation (BCTC) held a signing ceremony in Canada, and the delivery date will be August 2008.
As one of the largest electric power companies of Canada, BCTC operates 30 hydropower stations and 3 thermal power plants, with business covering more than 1.7 million clients in BC province of Canada, sharing 80% of BC province' s electric power market. BCTC has had 4,203 employees by the end of March 2006. In the financial year of 2006, BCTC domestically achieved electric power sales volume 52.44 billion kilowatt/hour and net profits of 266 million U.S. dollars.
