
Qimonda AG plans to invest 20 mln usd in a new development centre in Suzhou, China, the company said in a statement.
The Qimonda Memory Products Development Center Co Ltd will be part of the company's already existing back-end memory chip assembly and testing facility and is scheduled to start operating on Oct 1.
Qimonda plans to employ 200 Chinese engineers at the development centre within the next five years, the company said.
