China (Shanghai) International Medical Treatment and Health Expo will be held at Shanghai Exhibition Center from Dec. 1 to 3, 2006 . It is approved by Shanghai Foreign Economic Relation & Trading Commission, supported by Cooperation & Communion of Shanghai Municipal People's Government Office and Shanghai Municipal Health Bureau, and organized by Shanghai International Medical Exchange Center and Shanghai Union International Exhibition Co., Ltd. The Expo aims to accelerate the development of the Shanghai medical treatment and health cause, advance the whole image of Shanghai medical treatment and health organizations, and provide a high-class platform for displaying their characteristic medical services.

The Expo will set up two special display areas: the one named “the medical treatment and health organizations display area” which will authoritatively show the new image and the characteristic of the medical treatment services from the different medical and health organizations. People can contact with the medical treatment organizations directly and take a little time to know the current resources of the medical treatment and health wholly. The another named “Medical instruments, equipments, medicine display area” will exhibit the most advanced international and domestic medical treatment instruments, equipments, hospital facilities and medical products and medical achievements. It aims to accelerate the development of the technology and equipment of hospitals, strengthen the cooperation between the medical treatment and trading, push the technology to make more and more progress, and make Shanghai to become the Asia medical center.

The Expo will be a grand meeting for the international medical treatment and health trade.
