The average consumption of confectionery and chocolate articles at 0.9 kg per person in the year 2005 led the overall domestic confectionary industry productivity to 1.17 million tons that renders great potential growth to more than 4 million tons per year if compared with the average international consumption of 3.5 kg per capita. Where as average consumption of bakery products of only 4 kg per person sums up to total productivity of nearly 5 million tons last year yet, almost 10 times less if compared with the average international consumption per capita.
