China Petroleum & Chemical Corp. (SNP), or Sinopec, has started operating a 30,120-barrel-a-day unit at its Zhenhai refinery in the eastern province of Zhejiang.

The hydrogenation and cracking unit increases the refinery's capacity to 401, 640 b/d, it said. The Zhenhai refinery is the largest in China. The CNY655 million ($83.8 million) unit will mainly produce diesel, jet kerosene and heavy naphtha.
