TCL Corp., one of China's largest homegrown television and cellphone producers, reiterated that it would post a loss for 2006.
The company had the core intellectual property rights to a high-speed third-generation (3G) mobile wireless technology which would make it a key beneficiary when China rolls out its 3G network. TCL has said it returned to the black in the third quarter but still expected to post a loss for the full year.
The company posted a net profit of 31.02 million yuan ($3.93 million) in the July-September period, swinging from a 446.36 million yuan loss a year earlier.
