Chi Mei Optoelectronics (CMO) has announced it is adding investments of US$14.06 million in China via Ampower Holding for LCD components, according to two company filings with the Taiwan Stock Exchange (TSE) on March 16.
The panel maker has been aggressive in better completing its upstream supply chain. The maker announced last December it is investing US$1.21 million in Guan-Jie Electronics (transliterated from Chinese). Thanks to the investments, CMO gained 57% of the company.
