XINHUA Finance Ltd, a provider of financial news and data on China's markets, said Shelly Singhal resigned as executive director for corporate development for personal reasons.

"There are other priorities that will require my full attention, so it is clearly the right thing to do now," Singhal wrote in a letter to the board, Xinhua Finance said in a statement distributed by PRNewswire on Friday. "I remain a loyal and long-term follower and shareholder," said Singhal, whose resignation took effect immediately.
