CHINA Merchants Bank has issued more than 12 million credit cards at the end of April, accounting for one third of market, the Shenzhen-based bank said yesterday. Its highest monthly transaction value has topped more than eight billion yuan (US$1.05 billion).

The lender yesterday teamed up with HappiGo, a television shopping company, to expand its business for its credit card services.
