LG Electronics Inc said it will begin production at its newest screen factory to increase manufacturing capacity by 22 percent.

The A3 manufacturing line will help LG increase its monthly capacity to 440,000 panels from 360,000, the Seoul-based company said. The production line will allow LG to cut up eight plasma panels out of each glass substrate, compared with six now.
