Banks enter market - ResearchInChina

Three major South Korean banks - Shinhan, Woori and Hana - have won regulatory approval to set up wholly owned units in China, Reuters reported yesterday, citing unnamed sources.

The China Banking Regulatory Commission had recently given approval for the three to set up Chinese subsidiaries to gain full access to retail banking.
