I-Sheng Electric Wire and Cable, a Taiwan-based producer of power cable/cords used in a variety of electronic devices including PCs and home appliances, has received an order from Wal-Mart , with shipments to be completed by the end of the third quarter of 2007, according to the company.
Wal-Mart placed orders for power cable/cords assemblies for use in home appliances with I-Sheng for the first time in 2006, I-Sheng indicated. The order this time is worth about NT$300 million (US$9 million), the company said.
I-Sheng hit consecutively record consolidated revenues of NT$675 million in June and of NT$699 million in July, the company noted. With the order from Wal-Mart, I-Sheng expects to generate consolidated revenues of about NT$800 million this month, continuing the record-breaking streak, and should book revenues of NT$2.3 billion for the third quarter of this year, a record quarterly level.
