KODAK Co, the world's largest photography company, will open a new factory in the city of Xiamen in Fujian Province next month.
The 45,000-square-meter factory will mainly manufacture digital cameras and printing products. The total production output is expected to reach US$200 million.
Kodak has invested US$100 million in the factory, and its transformation from a film-camera producer to a digital-camera producer is expected to be completed this year.
With sales of US$10.7 billion in 2006, Kodak is committed to a digitally oriented growth strategy in 2007.
