Ability Enterprise and Altek, two of the top four Taiwan-based makers of digital cameras, reported estimated September consolidated revenues of NT$3.634 billion (US$112 million) and NT$2.602 billion, respectively, with both figures being the highest monthly levels on record for the companies.
Ability Enterprise shipped about 1.3 million digital cameras in September to reach 3.1 million units for the third quarter of this year, according to the company's optical business president Roger Tseng. Ability Enterprise may ship 1.5-1.6 million units in October and 3.5 million units this quarter, Tseng pointed out.
