Shanghai Huayi (Group) Co, China's leading chemical maker, plans to build several large coal-based chemical manufacturing bases nationwide, its former chairman said yesterday.
Each will be equipped with annual industrial capacity valued at several billion yuan, Zhang Peizhang told a Sino-Europe chemical cooperation symposium co-hosted by Huayi and German peer Evonik Degussa. Among its efforts, Shanghai-based Huayi has invested in a coal-chemical park in Anhui Province.
