CHINA'S inflation may have accelerated last month because of increasing vegetable prices, the China Securities Journal said yesterday, citing the National Development and Reform Commission.
The prices of 15 types of produce probably rose an average 11.5 percent in October compared with the previous month, countering a 2.8-percent drop in the price of pork and a 3.1- percent decrease in eggs, the Beijing-based newspaper said. China's consumer prices jumped 6.2 percent in September from a year earlier.
