US - USDA has listed the six pork-processing plants China agreed this week to allow to resume exporting products to China.
On Tuesday, the office of the U.S. Trade Representative announced China had agreed to lift its ban on six processing plants in conjunction with the U.S.-China Joint Commission on Commerce and Trade meeting in Beijing.
USDA's Food Safety and Inspection Service listed the following plants as eligible to export product to China produced on or after December 13, 2007:
Swift Pork Co., Worthington, Minn.
John Morrell & Co., Sioux Falls, S.D.
Farmland Foods, Denison, Iowa
Farmland Foods, Crete, Neb.
Farmland Foods, Monmouth, Ill.
Smithfield Packing Co., Tar Heel, N.C.
