The Bank of Shanghai and Bank of Communications have begun charging for cross-banking saving and cash-drawing, terminating the free trial period for the service.
The service fee took effect from the beginning of the month. The rates are a half to one percent of the total amount. With this development, only the Industrial and Commercial Bank of China and Shenzhen Development Bank are still offering cross-bank transaction services for free.
Industry insiders say, the cross-bank saving and cash-drawing service still need authorities to unify the charging standards, to really benefit consumers.
