The Shanghai headquarters of the People's Bank of China said yesterday it will make full use of the "window guidance" practice to supervise and monitor credit flow of banks in Shanghai in an aim to carry out the tight monetary policy.

China shifted its monetary policy from prudent to tight this year to fight inflation and avoid an overheat of economy.
