SOUTH Korea has resumed the regular sampling of Chinese kimchi after two years of disagreements over how to handle trade in the processed food, China's quality watchdog said yesterday.
Kimchi refers to a range of pickled vegetables, including cabbage and radish, which are popular traditional dishes among Koreans.
In October 2005, South Korea food and drug safety regulators demanded a 100 percent "rigid check" of Chinese kimchi, saying parasite eggs were found in Chinese exports.
