KONKA Group Co, the Chinese electronics maker that's part owned by France's Thomson SA, posted a 79-percent rise in first-quarter profit after consumers spent more buying televisions and mobile phones.
Net income rose to 47.1 million yuan (US$6.7 million), or 0.0782 yuan a share, from 26.3 million yuan, or 0.0436 yuan, a year earlier, the Shenzhen-based firm said yesterday
