BANKS in Shanghai, including the Agricultural Bank of China and Industrial & Commercial Bank of China, will keep most outlets open during the three-day May Day holiday.

ABC will open 80 percent of its 400 outlets in Shanghai during the period, but the opening hours for some outlets may be shorter than usual.

Most banks in Shanghai normally close their outlets during holidays like the Spring Festival in industrial areas. For the May Day holiday it is suggested customers call a bank hotline before visiting a branch.
