POLARIS Securities, an online brokerage in Taiwan, says its office has been searched by prosecutors investigating a transaction by the firm's asset-management unit in 2004.
The company fully cooperated, Polaris said in a statement to the Taiwan Stock Exchange. The investigation won't have any impact on operations, the Taipei-based firm said.
Executives are suspected of selling shares in Polaris International Securities Investment Trust back to the brokerage at too high a price, Bloomberg News said.
