China to introduce new resources tax to entire nation - ResearchInChina

China will introduce a resource tax nationwide, Du Ying, vice chairman of the National Development and Reform Commission, said at a briefing in Beijing today, without giving a timeline.

The tax, which will have a 5 percent benchmark rate, may vary from product to product, Du said.

China is first implementing a resource tax in western regions of the nation that covers coal, oil and natural gas.
