SHANGHAI Bailian Group Co said it is planning a restructuring with Shanghai Friendship Group that may involve acquisitions and mergers.

The local retail conglomerate said the plan was still under discussion but didn't give further details, according to its statement filed to the Shanghai Stock Exchange.

Shares of Shanghai Bailian and Shanghai Friendship have continued to be suspended since July 19.
