Delta Electronics has signed with the government-run China Technology Exchange (CTEX) to participate in the Intellectual Property One-stop Service (IPOS), a platform offering transaction services, in an attempt to protect its intellectual properties and enhance its own-brand business operation in the China market, according to the company. With R&D budgets accounting for 5% of revenues, Delta has amassed nearly 3,000 global patents.
In related news, a delegation of business representatives from China's Guangdong Province will visit Delta Electronics and Lite-On Technology on August 18, 2010. Led by the governor of Guangdong Province, Huang Hua-hua, the visiting businesses are expected to place orders worth an estimated US$6.6 billion to Taiwan-based manufacturers in the production equipment, LED and electric car sectors, according to industry sources.
