Taiwan-based digital camera chassis maker AVY Precision has announced revenues of NT$514 million (US$16.7 million) for September, up 14.48% on month and 22.65% on year, while the company's revenues in the third quarter reached NT$1.27 billion, a quarterly record for the company, and up 8.1% sequentially and 12.7% on year.

AVY currently has more than 90% of its revenues coming from digital camera chassis and internal components. The company's major client is Taiwan-based Ability Enterprise, which contributes about 50% of the company's revenues, follow by Sanyo Electric, while the company's products are being adopted by brand vendors such as Casio, Fujifilm, Nikon, Samsung Electronics, Panasonic and Sony.

AVY expects its October shipments and revenues to remain at a level as high as September, but in November and December the company's shipments will start dropping. However, the company still expects to see on-year growth with its fourth quarter revenues with both shipment and revenue shares for the first and second halves of the year to reach 45% and 55%.

As Ability is seeing its orders increasing in the second half of 2010, AVY will have chance to achieve over 10% on-year growth in 2010 revenues.

In additional news, Ju Teng, a digital camera chassis maker, expects its metal DSLR chassis shipments will double or even triple in volume to two million units in 2010 and since Canon and Nikon currently has about 80% share of the global DSLR market, Ju Teng will aim to land orders from the two.
