Asustek Computer expects its consolidated revenues for the fourth quarter of 2010 to increase 0-5% from the preceding quarter, according to company CEO Jerry Shen at an investors conference on October 28.
Gross margin of 13.9% and operating margin of 4.2% for the third quarter rose 2pp and 0.3pp respectively on quarter, mainly due to decreased component costs and better than expected progress in cleaning inventories, Shen pointed out.
Asustek generated January-September net EPS of NT$17.11 and expects NT$24 for the whole year, Shen indicated.
Of Asustek's ODM/OEM orders for notebooks and Eee PCs to be shipped in 2011, Pegatron Technology accounts for 50%, followed by Quanta Computer with 30-35%, Compal Electronics with 10-15% and Foxconn (Hon Hai Precision Industry) with below 5%.
