Inductor maker Chilisin Electronics is expected to register sequential growth in revenues in November 2010 as the company's low-profile chokes have entered the supply chain for Microsoft's Kinect, according to industry sources.

Chilisin's shipments of multi-layered chip resistors and power chokes will also remain strong in November, while its utilization rate for wire wound chip resistors is expected to decline during the same period due to slow demand from the PC sector.

In other news, fellow company Mag.Layers Scientific-Technics has completed its issuance of NT$700 million (US$23.17 million) unsecured convertible bonds in the local financial market. The new funds will be used to ramp the capacity of its plant in Pingcheng, northern Taiwan.

Mag.Layers will enjoy a sequential growth in revenues in the fourth quarter with a gross margin of over 35%, according to an estimate by industry sources.
