Taiwan's eMemory Technology has broadened its embedded non-volatile memory (NVM) IP portfolio for market segments like touch screen controllers and power management chips, and has entered the supply chain of major brand-name handset vendors including Apple, Nokia and HTC.
Currently, about 80% of eMemory's sales are generated by licensing its NeoBit OTP (one-time programmable) technology. Other company proprietary IPs are NeoFlash and NeoEE, which support more than 10,000 and 100,000 programming cycles, respectively.
Worldwide, eMemory has more than 300 customers including IDMs and fabless IC designers. The IP developer is also working with major contract chipmakers such as Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (TSMC) and United Microelectronics Corporation (UMC).
In addition, eMemory expects to list on Taiwan's over-the-counter (OTC) market between the end of 2010 and early 2011.
