MediaTek's sales reached an almost two-year low in October 2010, according to data released by the IC design house.

MediaTek turned in NT$7.375 billion (US$244 million) in October consolidated revenues, down 15.2% on month and 23.5% on year. Accumulated consolidated sales from January through October totaled NT$98.15 billion, up slightly from the NT$95.79 billion posted during the same period of 2009.

MediaTek has estimated fourth-quarter revenues will decrease 15-20% sequentially, citing low seasonal demand and the NT dollar's appreciation.
