Small- to medium-size panel maker Giantplus Technology has announced revenues of NT$1.03 billion (US$34.12 million) for October, decreasing by about 10% sequentially and 14% on year.

Accumulated revenues from January-October totaled NT$10.82 billion, dropping 3% on year.

Giantplus entered the touch panel business relatively later than other players, and therefore revenue contribution from touch panels will not come till the end of 2010.

Giantplus' net profit for the first three quarters of 2010 decreased to NT$319 million from NT$897 million for the first half of 2010, because of a net loss of NT$579 million in the third quarter. EPS for the first three quarters dropped to NT$0.08 from NT$0.22 for the first half of the year.
