Passive component makers Yageo and Thinking Electronic Industrial both saw their revenues decline sequentially in October amid seasonality and reduced working days in China during national holidays.
Yageo posted consolidated revenues of NT$2.173 billion (US$72.03 million) for October, declining 12.3% from the previous month. Yageo still forecast a 10% sequential decline in revenues for the fourth quarter although orders in November are likely higher than those in October.
Thinking saw its consolidated revenues drop 1.1% on month to NT$350 million in October. The company expects its revenues to pick up again in November and revenues for fourth-quarter 2010 will fall by a single-digit rate as compared to the previous quarter.
