Taiwan's October 2010 consumer price index (CPI) of 106.46 (2006 as base year) rose 0.66% on month and 0.56% on year, while the corresponding wholesale price index (WPI) of 107.93% decreased 0.53% on month but increased 3.84% on year, according to statistics released by the Directorate-General Budget, Accounting and Statistics (DGBAS).
For January-October 2010, the average CPI and WPI rose 0.88% and 6.12% respectively on year, DGBAS indicated.
