Lite-On Technology posted NT$10.32 billion (US$342.38 million) in October global consolidated revenues, down 6% sequentially but up 10% on year. The company indicated that the monthly decline is largely due to less working days in October with the National Day holidays. Consolidated revenues from January though October rose 32% on year to NT$103.205 billion thanks to market share growth of its core product lines.
Camera modules and LED product revenues in October climbed 97% and 22% on year. Camera module revenues posted a new monthly record, while LED product saw a slight sequential drop.
Third-quarter revenues for its four main product lines - camera modules, LED products, input devices and power supply - increased 86%, 34%, 28% and 12% on year respectively to post new quarterly highs across the board. Fourth-quarter consolidated revenues will likely see flat sequential growth, which means Lite-On Technology's full-year consolidated revenues will reach around NT$124 billion, up 27% from 2009's NT$97.235 billion.
Lite-On Technology is bullish on the smartphone- and cloud computing-related sectors in 2011. Market watchers expect the company to post NT$160 billion for 2011 consolidated revenues.
