Taiwan recorded total export value of US$24.19 billion in October, rising by 8.0% on month and by 21.9% on year, while the corresponding total import value of US$21.21 billion also increased by 2.8% and 27.9% respectively, according to statistics released by the Ministry of Finance (MOF) on November 8.
Among different categories of Taiwan-made products, electronics had the largest export value of US$7.251 billion in October, rising by 24.7% on year.
The total export value of US$226.44 billion and total import value of US$205.22 billion for January-October grew on year by 38.4% and 48.6% respectively.
