Career Technology reported NT$886 million (US$29.36 million) in October 2010 consolidated revenues, down 7.7% sequentially. Revenues from January through October grew 27.7% on year to NT$8.349 billion. The company pointed to seasonal impact and handset customers delaying new models to the first quarter of 2011 for the monthly decline. Therefore, fourth-quarter sales could see a drop off as well, the company indicated, but adding that new models by customers in the first quarter next year could buoy sales during what traditionally is the low season.
Flexium Interconnect turned in NT$440 million in October consolidated revenues, down 5.58% sequentially. Revenues from January through October reached NT$3.63 billion, up 40.82% from a year ago. Flexium's fourth quarter revenues are projected by market watchers to contract 10-15%. The company was also affected by handset customers moving back introduction of new products to early 2011. Flexium has plans to expand capacity by 20-30% at its plant in Kunshan, China, and the new production lines will be operational in July 2011.
Ichia Technologies' October consolidated revenues fell 8.47% sequentially to NT$810 million. FPCB sales declined 17% sequentially mostly on component shortages. The company projects fourth-quarter revenues to show a sequential decrease or flat growth due to seasonality.
Taiflex Scientific reported a 9.6% decrease to NT$627 million in October revenues. January-to-October revenues reached NT$5.678 billion, up 76.5% on year. Its fourth-quarter revenues are projected to slip 5-10% sequentially, according to market watchers.
