BenQ aims for 13% market share in the global front projector market in 2011, which is about 900,000 units in shipments.

BenQ ranked second in the global and Asia projector market for the first three quarters of 2010 with 9% market share, and expects to ship a total of 700,000 units for the year, an increase of 50% on year.

BenQ ranked number one in the DLP market in the third quarter of 2010.

The company cited research firm data saying that BenQ's market share in the global projector market in the first quarter of 2010 was 8.9%, 9.2% in the second and third quarters, and expects to reach 10% in the fourth quarter. As the second and third quarters are the peak season for the education market, BenQ received procurement orders in Asia-Pacific, Indonesia, Brazil, Europe, Canada, as well as the US markets. BenQ shipped 7,000 units in September, and has recently landed orders for an education procurement project from New York, US for about 1,500 units. BenQ is expected to ship 10,000 units per month in the first quarter of 2011.
