Delta Electronics has announced its cooperation with Japan-based publisher Kadokawa and introduced an e-book reader for comic content using e-paper developed with Japan-based Bridgestone.

At FPD International 2010 in Makuhari, Japan, Delta not only showcased its e-paper products, but also displayed 3D display technology.

Delta's director of e-paper business development, Hui Lee indicated that 3D will be one of Delta's major development focuses in 2011, and she is very optimistic about the matured 3D technology. Lee noted that 3D is a very good concept and can be applied to not only TVs but also projectors and e-paper products.

The major problems that need to be solved when switching between 2D and 3D displays are display brightness and viewing angles, Lee said.
