Because the netbook industry is seeing almost no shipment growth, Asustek Computer expects its recently released AMD-based Eee PC 1015T netbook, which has a lower price point than Intel-based models, will help it achieve its annual shipment goal, according to market watchers.

Since Asustek is aiming to ship six million units in 2010, the company recently launched the 10-inch Eee PC 1015T netbook featuring AMD's Nile platform, which consists of a 45nm V105 processor and DDR3 memory, ATI Radeon HD 4250 graphics core with HDMI support and 320GB hard drive, targeting consumer groups that do not have a favorite brand name.

The 1015T is the company's second AMD-based netbook, Asustek previously launched the 12-inch Eee PC 1201T using the MV40 processor with RS780 chipset.
