BenQ, on November 18, launched a 3D LED-backlit LCD monitor, the XL2410T, eyeing the professional gamer market, while Chimei Innolux (CMI) is cooperating with Microsoft to set up 50 experience centers for Xbox 360.

BenQ's 3D LED-backlit monitor features 120Hz refresh rate, 2ms response time and 10 million:1 contrast ratio. BenQ noted that the monitor is specifically designed for professional gamers and has invited the champion of the World GameMaster Tournament (WGT) to join product development.

3D glasses are required to view 3D images on the XL2410T, and the monitor will be sold at NT$16,900 (US$557.29).

BenQ's LCD monitor shipments in 2010 will remain flat compared to the shipments in 2009, and the company aims to be the leading monitor brand in Taiwan in the fourth quarter of 2011.
