Thin film-based capacitive touch panel makers Young Fast Optoelectronics and J Touch have posted mixed results for November 2010, with the former seeing its monthly figures drop 9% sequentially to NT$1.69 billion (US$56.11 million), while the latter posted a 3% sequential growth to NT$780 million.
Young Fast also posted accumulated revenues of NT$16.17 billion for the first 11 months of 2010, increasing 38% from a year earlier. J Touch garnered revenues of NT$5.34 billion during the January-November period, up 56% on year.
J Touch's shipments of 7-inch capacitive touch panels for Samsung Electronics' Galaxy Tab as well as 5.5-inch devices for Sharp's Galapagos tablet PCs will help boost its revenues for the fourth quarter.
