TSMC November sales down 4% on month - ResearchInChina

Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (TSMC) saw November 2010 sales decrease on month, joining fellow United Microelectronics Corporation (UMC) which also experienced a sequential revenue slide.

TSMC has announced consolidated revenues of NT$36.85 billion (US$1.23 billion) for November, down 4.1% sequentially. But the figure showed 21.5% growth from a year earlier.

TSMC's consolidated revenues from January through November totaled NT$384.67 billion, rising 45.6% from the same period in 2009.

TSMC earlier gave its sales guidance for the fourth quarter, estimating consolidated revenues at NT$107-109 billion. Consolidated revenues for the third quarter hit a record high of NT$112.25 billion.

TSMC shares closed up 2.9% at NT$70 on December 9.
