Copper-clad laminate (CCL) suppliers Elite Materials (EMC) and Taiwan Union Technology (TUC) have both announced growth in November 2010 consolidated revenues from the previous month.

EMC generated consolidated revenues of NT$1.13 billion (US$37.7 million) in November, up 7.3% on month. The company saw October sales slide 7.5% from the previous month, citing a slowdown in demand from the PCB industry.

EMC said that customers have stepped up their pace of orders to build up inventory ahead of the Lunar New Year. Judging from order visibility, the company expects sales for January 2011 to be stronger than the seasonal pattern seen historically.

TUC collected NT$780 million in November consolidated revenues, up 3.9% sequentially. In October, it experienced a sales drop of 6.7% on month.

TUC indicated that orders it has landed for December were better than those received for November, as clients have started building up inventory. Order momentum will remain strong through January, the company added.
