Acer Taiwan has announced it will sell the building it acquired as part of its buyout of E-Ten Information Systems for an estimated NT$2.4-3 billion (US$79.91-99.88 million) and will move the handset R&D department (E-Ten) to its headquarters.
Market watchers believe that since the company has been working on integrating its PC and handset resources since 2009, selling the business building and moving the handset R&D team to headquarters indicates that the two departments will have a certain level of integration in the future.
