CES 2011: MSI prepares to showcase tablet PCs and notebooks - ResearchInChina

MSI will showcase an array of notebooks as well as tablet PCs at Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2011, which will be hosted from January 6-9 January 2011 in Las Vegas, at South Hall 3, booth 30559.

MSI will unveil two new WindPad tablets. The WindPad 100W features the Wintel platform and the WindPad 100A with the ARM/Android platform. They are natively equipped with modules such as G-Sensor gravity detecting devices, an ALS light sensor, and Wi-Fi.

The MSI WindPad 100A features the new Google Android OS, a 10.1-inch multi-touch control screen, ARM processor, a digital compass, a GPS locator, a G-Sensor gravity detecting device, an ALS light sensor, and Wi-Fi with 3G support as an optional choice to consumers.

The MSI WindPad 100W is equipped with Microsoft's Windows 7 Home Premium operating system and a 10.1-inch screen that supports multi-touch control. In addition, it is equipped with an Intel mobile processor and a 32GB SSD as well as a G-Sensor, an ALS light sensor, and Wi-Fi. The device is also pre-loaded with MSI's own Wind Touch software for quickly finding any applications using the software's work and entertainment functions with just a click.

Meanwhile, MSI will debut its G Series gaming notebooks that pack the latest Intel quad-core processor at CES 2011 including the 17.3-inch GT780 as well as the 15.6-inch GT680 and GE620, all equipped with a discrete graphics card. Some models also features MSI's own Turbo technology, while the highest-end model even uses accelerated dual solid state drive (SSD) architecture for better performance.

MSI will also announce its new F series notebooks boasting processing and display performance superior to earlier F series generations. The F series notebooks come with MSI's own raised totem seal coating and color film print to protect against scratching, wear, and smudging. The coating is also compounded with environmental friendly and chemical-free materials.

MSI will also showcase notebooks under its C series product line including the 15.6-inch CR650, CR640, and CX640. The CX640/CR640 features the latest Intel Core processor, while the CR650 is equipped with AMD's latest dual core processor. They all boast exceptional display units and SRS PC Sound cinema-grade, stereo wrap surround sound to greatly enhance performance and multimedia experience.

As for ultra-thin notebooks and netbooks, MSI will display its 10-inch Wind U160 DX netbook, 12-inch Wind U270, and the 13-inch X-Slim X370. The Wind U270 and X-Slim X370 notebooks feature AMD's new dual core processor, significantly enhanced processing performance and battery life.
