Consolidated revenues of backlight unit (BLU) supplier Radiant Opto-Electronics are estimated to reach a new record high in December 2010, exceeding NT$4.6 billion (US$157.94 million), and the total revenues for the year are expected to exceed NT$48.3 billion.

Consolidated revenues for the fourth quarter of 2010 are expected to increase by 10% to around NT$13.8 billion.

Revenues for the first quarter of 2011 are expected to continue increasing sequentially, and overall revenues for the year are expected to increase 25% on year and further challenge NT$60 billion.

Radiant has been making new record revenues recently, mainly due to orders from a US-based vendor of notebooks and tablet PCs. As the vendor is scheduled to launch new tablet PCs in the first quarter of 2011, for which Radiant is expected to continue supplying, along with orders from Japan-based clients, Radiant's revenues in the first quarter of 2011 are expected to continue growing.
