Foxconn Electronics (Hon Hai Precision Industry) plans to cooperate with upstream partners to push Mirasol panels in the color e-book reader market, according to market watchers.

Currently, E Ink Holding, previously known as Prime View International (PVI), and Delta Electronics are the two most aggressive companies pushing the standardization of color e-paper, but due to limitations in technology, actual products are still unable to appear in the retail channel.

However, since Foxconn is aggressively working with its upstream partners on the development of Mirasol panels and as soon as the panel is able to meet supply, related e-book reader products should start appearing in the channel, the market watchers added.
