Optical film maker Wah Hong Industrial has posted consolidated revenues of NT$854 million (US$29.19 million) for December, up 4.81% sequentially and 28.18% on year.
Consolidated revenues for the year totaled NT$9.72 billion, up 45.26% on year, and a record high.
Consolidated revenues for the fourth quarter of 2010 totaled NT$2.46 billion, down 6.34% sequentially but up 25.19% on year.
Shipments of brightness enhancement films, optical films, reflective sheets and diffusion sheets all increased sequentially due to growing demand from TFT-LCD clients, and further helped to drive the sequential revenue growth in December.
Shipments for automation equipment for light guide plate processing also increased sequentially due to increased demand from clients, while invisible ITO film for capacitive touch panels received validation from Korea- and Japan-based clients and will soon start volume shipments.
