Asia Optical will begin to ship pico projector modules for DSC and smartphone applications in the first quarter of 2011 and expects revenues from the new product line to grow substantially.

Asia Optical has also announced consolidated revenues of NT$2.12 billion (US$72.55 million) for December 2010, down 5.3% sequentially and 6.5% on year. For all of 2010, revenues reached NT$24.61 billion, increasing 8% from a year earlier.

The company also expects its new products including 3D projectors and blue laser displays (BLDs) to win clients' support in 2011 in addition to pico projector modules and camera lenses.
